I am on O2 and work for them. I haven't had any problems at all with regards to service. You are better off checking with customer services to see what the issue may be. A simple explanation could be a service outage in your area for routine maintenance or an unplanned outage. Another explanation could be bars on your service for a number of reasons.

Seriously call customer services.

Thread needs moving to the correct forum too! ;)

What time where you trying to use service? (ie Christmas time). Could well of been too many people using the same cells that you were trying to use to wish folks a happy Christmas. This results in cell shrinkage, which you can usually experience at New Year ie: mass overload of the mobile network. This affects coverage, usually for a few minutes, but can go on for hours.

If you have full use of services now and everything is working then cool.

If you are a pay monthly customer then PM me your MPN and I will credit you 1 days line rental.

Cerberus, I had a 12 hour outage of gprs on Boxing day. Is there any comeback on this. I bought the iphone for the unlimited dataplan as much as the flash phone.

Call iPhone Customer Services and ask for a credit for 1 days line rental.

I did notice today that there had been a GPRS and 3G issues in Gloucester and parts of the South West of England. Some of it was planned maintenance.

.. Where Yu From Ricky?

No...but I am and O2. I use Trafficmaster Smartnav as my satellite navigation system and that uses O2 to get the information, I have to drive over 10 minutes for it to pick up a signal. It never used to be that bad in Ricky, it appears to have got worse over the last few months.

You know what the networks are like on new years eve, completely jammed. I couldn't text. It's just one of those things...

I think the question was "where are you from Ricky", rather than "where are you from? Ricky?"

Normally that's the case, but last night I sent and received texts pretty quickly and made phone calls too...no problem. And I am on o2 too.
