Just out of interes, how "much" do VM monitor in the way of our internet usage, and how long do they keep this info for? Just curious because of the increase in people who have been sharing copyright stuff etc and being caught. I heard somewhere that NTL/VM were stubborn about this when giving up the data etc?

Anyone shed any light?

And yes it's a hypothetical question :)

I think by European law they must keep your usage records for 5 years, Although I heard lately that this may be dropped to two years as storage of all that data is very expensive.
