Virgin Broadband point query

Hello all.

Newbie here so please be gentle:).

On Friday I'm having Virgin Broadband, phone and TV installed.

My question is: Is the DSL modem connected to the TV box? Ideally I'd like it connected to my PC but it's quite far from the TV and probably out of WiFi range?

Would this be possible?

The modem will not be connected to the TV. The engineer must install the modem right next to the pc, so that you can connect direct via the supplied ethernet cable.

They will lay a cable from where VM enters your house to where you have your computer. And a different cable from where it enters to your TV box.
