I 've had broadband since ntlworld days, and have decided to use my webspace.
however whenever I try to login (dos ftp or smartftp) I get the following:
331 Password required for user.
PASS (hidden)
Server closed connection
Cannot login waiting to retry (30s...)
From what I can gather the password should be the same as that for my email? Is this true? On the website http://www.virginmedia.com/customers/webspace/access_settings/ it says "Don't know your username or password? we can email it to you"
Well I've done that and they sent me my email username and password, but I cannot access ftp with them.
Any ideas?

Oh yeah, tried searching for ftp problems but search words must be >= 4 characters....oops
it should make allowance for certain tla's , i think
