I'm getting disconnected from my internet connnection at least 2 or 3 times every hour (sometimes more frequently especially in the evening). Usually a reset gets it back, but not for very long as a rule! This has been going on for weeks, VM tech support are pretty useless so I'd appreciate some help...

The modem is an NTL 250. Heres the stats:

Cable Modem : DOCSIS 1.0/1.1/2.0 Compliant
MAC Address : (removed for security)
Serial Number : (removed for security)
Boot Code Version : 2.1.6d
Software Version : 2.94.1010
Hardware Version : 1.19

Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Channel Id : 4
Downstream Frequency : 402750000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM256
Downstream Symbol Rate : 5360.537 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps32Increment4
Downstream Receive Power Level : 6.2 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 37.6 dB

Upstream Lock : Locked
Upstream Channel ID : 3
Upstream Frequency : 34000000 Hz
Upstream Modulation : QPSK
Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec
Upstream transmit Power Level : 34.0 dBmV
Upstream Mini-Slot Size : 2

Network Access : Allowed
Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 4096000
Maximum Upstream Data Rate : 400000
Maximum Upstream Channel Burst : 1600
Maximum Number of CPEs : 1
Modem Capability : Concatenation Enabled, Fragametation Enabled, PHS Disabled

Is there anything in there that might be causing this problem?

TIA.

Thanks. If the modem levels are OK then maybe the UBR is oversubscribed? I'm on:

lutn-hatf-ubr-3-ge02.inet.ntl.com

how can I check to see if that UBR is overloaded?

TIA.
