I was hoping someone may be able to help me with a problem ive had for the past couple of weeks as noone at virgin seems to have a clue and all i get is an Indian call centre where they cant understand me and i cant understand them.

I have been getting rediculous pings on games of between 100 and 200 and lots of lag, where as 2 weeks ago i was getting a nice 30 to 40 ping.

My speedtest results are a joke as im on 20 mb im getting these sort of results day or night:

https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2007/11/24.png (http://www.speedtest.net)

Im at my wits end as virgin say there is no issue on my line but i have tried 2 or 3 different pc`s and i still get the same sort of results so i no its not the usual "spyware on your machine" excuse.

any help would be much appreciated

Help!!!

yes you called, LOL anyway.

Don't use those speed tests they are unreliable, use the one on this site, and post back results.

Well i contacted virgin again last night and a technition was supposed to call me back - guess what no phone call again, so i called customer services who said they could not refund any call charges as it is not there fault lmfao. Well I told them i am not paying my bill now until this is resolved so we will see what happens. I have never in my life had such issues with a company as im having with virgin it is an absolute joke. Heopfully someone in the company can contact me who can help if not looks like i may be in court lol

While I understand your frustration, this isn't the way to go. You will be cut off.
Call CS again and explain that you are not willing to pay 25ppm again and that you are considering cancelling.

Ask for a call back or to be put through to TSC.

hmmm,

those modem logs do seem to point towards some sort of issue with the modem aquiring a valid config file.

i would give tech support a call. i know its a chew but they are the only guys who can shed some light on that sorta thing !
