How does one going about contacting these rogue traders without phoning their extortonate rip-off tech support line...please.
Is there any email address??
I have no adware, no virus, no routers, just a direct simple connection.

Mine's been exactly the same ever since they went from 10mb to 20mb. I used to get 7mb on the 10mb service, but on 20mb I am lucky to get more than 1mb.

It's an absolute disgrace, and I too refuse to incur premium rate charges to inform them of it. They *don't* refund them, I tried that last time, they tell you that they can only investigate it after the charges have been paid, and then only by letter. Which roughly translated means "get lost" because very few letters even get read at ntl.

My problem is that there is no viable alternative. My BT line is not capable of delivering more than 1mb either, despite me living in a large city (Manchester).

Very frequently I can get better speed test results from a dialup connection.

It's appalling, and frankly with ntl or whatever name they are using this week, it will only get worse.

So you have the normal service from VM like me. I thought about trying to get the problem aired on local radio but with VM being up for sale I don’t think they give a ( place expletive of your choice) then add to that the staff have lost their 2007 bonus I hear. Expect to hear some funny answer phone messages again when you phone VM :D
