if this has already been posted then feel free to close this.

But after encountering the slow browsing a lot of people on here experience I actually decided to try a different DNS service.

I signed up for the free open DNS service, set the addresses on my router and bam surfing the web is super fast.

Anyone else tried this yet?

I've noticed a definite improvement.

What were the IP addresses for the DNS servers you were previously being assigned? It would be interesting to see if these slow browsing issues are associated with any particular set of DNS servers.

Correction :)

It's actually:

194.168.4.100
194.168.8.100

I dislike both VM and OpenDNS, DNS.. I use a private one :p: I won't spill either! :dunce:

I`ve used Opendns for quite a while now myself.
Does indeed improve the browsing speeds but moving to Opera permenantly just a couple of months ago has also helped that side of things on this pc.

Even with the tweaks/plugins available for Firefox Opera is still faster overall i`ve found....for browsing anyway:)
