Saw this mentioned in a thread over at OcUK and thought the PS3 owners on here might appreciate the heads-up.
It's also worth noting the online registration process, which locks your copy of the game to your Konami account for online play. This means that if you ever want to sell your copy of the game, the next person will be unable to play online unless he or she has your registration details.

I seem to remember Sony saying they were trying to do this with all games prior to the PS3's launch, but that they never went ahead with it in the end. Looks like Konami, however, have done the dirty deed.
I wonder if this will start a precedent amongst other developers?
