Finally, i think VM are doing something, for the last two days iv been getting 14mb+ on my connection. VM must have been doing some upgrades in Newton Abbot to the UBR's, They have also changed me to UBR25. One Happy Customer :)

Mine's still a load of old poo speed wise. I can't get over over 4mb even in the dead of night.

Up and coming is a complaint to ntl that they aren't supplying the advertised service. I used to get 7.5mb out of a 10mb service and I'll accept that. I won't accept 4mb out of 20, and even that's optimistic as at peak times it falls below 1mb. Often my download speed is lower than my upload, which is a disgrace.

The ntl copout of "it's an up to 20mb service" is not acceptable. I wonder if a petrol station could get away with only supplying 4 litres of petrol when you asked for 20, by saying it's an "up to 20 litres" service?

I don't expect perfection but I'd like things to be a bit closer than they are. Hitting 10mb would be a nice start.
