Hi All,
I was wondering if (a n00b) could ask for some help
I've got my PC set on Full duplex 100 connected directly to my Ambit 200 Modem
The SNR all seem reasonable, the Maximum Downstream Data Rate is 20480000, the upload is 768000
I only upgraded to XL yesterday, but the upload speed has 'worked' - so I reliably get ~750kB/s - however, the upload was 3.5MB/s, but now dropping to about 1MB/s
So.... after 19mins on the phone to technical support where's he's trying to walk me through setting my network card to full duplex (again/some more :D) we get cut off.
My question is this... he was still a few hours away from getting me to access the modem - so thanks to this site I've done that & all looks well
What else can I 'do' to check what's wrong.
I'm fairly satisfied that it's not my PC or ethernet cable - so how do I go about proving this to someone else?
Thanks in advance!
Mark
