A 16 billion pixel image of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper has been posted on the internet, giving art lovers a detailed view of the 15th Century work.
The image is 1,600 times more detailed than those taken with a typical 10 million pixel digital camera.

By gum it shows what a bad craftsman da Vinci was...so much of his art was been let down/lost by his poor preparation. :( It makes restoration so much harder.

Even so what survives is pretty amazing though I find it disappointing that the Mona Lisa is given so much attention compared to other works. :erm:

I dont think its slow, zooming from 5% to 10% it takes about 4 seconds to reload the image. Mind you my 4mb BB is virtually faultless :D

Da Vinci is one of he greatest living humans.

He invented the concept of a helicopter, some 400 years before planes had been invented.

His drawing of human antomony has been used by the medical proffesion due to it high level of detail.

Um he's been dead for some time now...unless you know something we don't. :)
