I don't believe you'll get a new modem without reason. In a cloning thread, it was said they wouldn't replace modems even if people were stealing your bandwidth and speed. I think that means the only way to replace it would be to upgrade your connection and hope your modem can't handle 20mb.

That's an Ambit 200, and works fine at up to 20Mb. Don't worry about it, it doesn't need replacing.
