so i recently upgraded my 4mb connection to the 20mb as i took out the VIP package with V+. Now the other day, i thought about what a great update this was for my service, bigger upload speed, good for hosting on my xbox, was downloading roughly 1mb/s, so nice speeds (not 20mb, but id be happy with that.) but seems as though i have only seen this for 2 days all together.

Today im back to the ridiculous speed. download speed is roughly 70kb/s.....or about 400kb down. This is what its usually like.

Is this to be expected in my area, or should i give them a ring. When i was on 4mb i had a constant 3.8-4mb down! its now worse most of the time.

I also have a really old modem, the big silver rectangle ntl world modem, back from when i first joined (must of been 128kb service haha). would that need upgrading?

Kendo1, look underneath the modem, if it is a ntl home 100 or 120 model, then yes it will need replacing, you will have to phone BB faults.
