software update for speed issues

I wont bore everyone with my internet problems as they are well documented on a billing thread (20mb service running at 1mb) but I have been told that there is a software fix meant to be coming out to rectify some speed issues on the 20mb service-does anyone know anthing about this??

I'm assuming it is for the modems, but I really don't know to be honest-hence the question.

I don't really care what it is for as long as it fixes the speed problems!!!

They are probably going to run that script again that knocks out pirate modems - and anyone with a typo in the address field of any of their accounts...
