Weird Speeds!

Hi,

I was downloading Ubuntu not long ago and glanced at the download speed only to see that it was going at 3MB/s! I didnt think these speeds were possible on the 20Mb service? The speeds were hovering at this for the majority of the download varying from 2.60MB/s to 3.54MB/s

hmmm very weird !

i imagine it is just the application you are using giving you false readings. this happens with bittorrent sometimes too !

If you get those speeds sustained then you are a lucky person !

best thing to try is download a fairly big file from the VM gamefiles server and see what you get. download it using your browser and you should get a clear reading

Well its weird because ive always being using Downthemall since ive had the 20Mb upgrade and i have never had readings this high. The Ubuntu download was hosted on the Virgin Media servers.

try using internet exploer and download a file from gamefiles and tell us what your results are and also clean ur cache

Get 3MB speeds myself quite often funnily enough.
Our 20Mb took 3 months and 2 weeks to show up so i just class it as back payment;)
