Hi been having the odd issue with my Cable Modem broad and today its been awful.
Disconnects every 30 mins and comes back on after a few mins. Re-setting the thing doesn't seem to help.
Just have internet and no tv
Im in an ex-Telewest area I believe and I'm using the
Scientfic Atlanta WebSTAR EPC2100R2 CM.
Had a look at your signal settings page and to be honest it's a bit confusing so
I've pasted the current output from my modem.
Downstream Channel
The data shown in the table below provides information about the signal coming from the network to your cable modem.
Downstream Status: Operational
Channel ID: 1
Downstream Frequency: 331000000 Hz
Modulation: 256QAM
Bit Rate: 4096000 bits/sec
Power Level: 16.1 dBmV
Signal to Noise Ratio: 42.1 dB
Upstream Channel
The data shown in the table below provides information about the signal being transmitted to the network from your cable modem.
Upstream Status: Operational
Channel ID: 2
Upstream Frequency: 29200000 Hz
Modulation: 16QAM
Bit Rate: 384000 bits/sec
Power Level: 23.0 dBmV
Are these all acceptable settings or should I call VM and ask for an engineer
cause I'm worried if I get one by the time he comes round it will be fine again.
Oh and im the WF5 postcode area
