Help!

I just got reconnected with virgin and whilst trying to install my set up CD I kept on getting error messages. After fiddling about I realised my Local Area connection wasnt connecting due to ip address problems. i released &renewed my Ipconfig and now my Ip address is sorted but i now get error messages saying a Default Gateway cannot be established.

Can anyone pls help already spent about 30 mins with Virgin Technical support and they cant do anything.

Hmmm - when this happened to me, it was 'cos the set top box was not aware it ought to be providing broadband services, and it needed "waking up" by them sending it a special command from their end. (someone here will know the technical term for that!) The technical support people should be able to do that, or get their support people, to do it. Make sure that they confirm with their people that you defintely DO have an account set up, or you'll be there forever...
