hi people

i need your help

i paying for 2Mbits connection and sometime per day the connection is below 56Kbit , yes you reading this well , 56Kbit , and few hours per day i cannot connect to internet at all

i check the modem log and showing ... Downstream Status : Locked
... Upstream Status : Ranging ...

when the connection working i got few reports from my computer :

please help me sort out this crap connection , i'm realy fedup with this cra* cable connection, i need internet non-stop for my business.

Where do you live? There might be known problems in your area. You can check for yourself by clicking on the Service Status link at the bottom of every forum page.

i live in halifax , west yorkshire , but on the page is nothing about halifax and my friend have NTL or whatever you call now the company and he is without problems.

i got serious problems with the connection a lot of time per day and during the night is more worst.

ping google ... 25% packets lost and more , realy slow connection . and modem showing operational status , like everything should be ok but isn't

I know this isn't very helpful for your current problem, but if you have a business critical connection you should really use ntl:Telewest business broadband which has a lower contention ratio, free support, and a better SLA: http://www.ntltelewestbusiness.co.uk/products__solutions/broadband__internet_services.aspx

I don't know enough about the network to be able to comment I'm afraid - but if it didn't, your problem would be fixed much faster.

maybe you right , because i have no another chance to get the same fast conection (ISP) in my area , i have had few years ago DSL from BT and that was hell.

i ws instaled ipswitch whatsup , whitch i every 30s pinging google , and i will post the log few days later to customer support and i will claim some compensation , if this will fail ,next gonna be court way :))))
