Hi, I have digital tv installed 3 weeks ago, the installation went perfect but the engineer hadn't got a remote control to give me. He promised he'd drop one off later that night but didn't. I phoned 150 the next day and was told they would put one in the post for me. It's been 3 weeks now and I haven't received it. I've phoned them 5 times only to be told each time that one has been sent to me and I've just got to wait. Can anyone tell me if there is anything else I can do to get one as I am getting really fed up with them now.............thanks :td::td::td:

I would have thought if it was posted 3 weeks ago it would have arrived by now if it was going to!

Which box do you have?

Hi, thanks for your welcome and your reply. The box has DI 4000 underneath it and on the front it has VBox on the left side and Pace on the right side.

wasn't it in the box ? how did he show you how to work it ?

it wasn't in a box just a plastic bag and he said I could use the arrow buttons on the front of the box which I can for some functions but not all, and its just a pain sitting on the floor pressing buttons...............

I'd recommend calling up CS/retentions threatening to cancel as they are not providing the service as they are obligated to.

If you get nowhere with that, we do have contacts within VM who help resolve problems. If you want to PM me your account number and contact phone number, I can forward the the details on.

Unfortunately, it could have got lost in the post. Royal Mail consider a First Class item lost if it hasn't been delivered after 10 days.

CS = Customer services. Dial 150 if you have a VM phone or 0845 454 1111 from a non-VM line.

retentions = the department you get forwarded to if you want to cancel. They (normally) try to resolve your prob to retain your business. For something so simple, i'd imagine they'd oblige.

Phoned retentions this am and they have promised me one by Tuesday, thanks for your help..........

Well just to let you all know it hasn't come today as promised (I really thought it would this time). I heard on the news tonight that Royal Mail are striking tonight (I think its tonight, didn't quite catch it) so don't know if I'll get it tomorrow. Really angry now.:mad::mad::mad:

I don't blame you for being angry. It's bad enough when the batteries in the remote run out, I dread to think what my husband'd be like if we didn't have a remote at all!? :disturbd:

I suggest you take up the offer of CF help in escalating the issue with one of their contacts. :tu:

If you do not take up the offer of help via the site, I would speak to customer services and/or customer retentions and ask that they arrange for the installation manager for your area to personally deliver one to your house. :shrug:

AT LAST ITS COME:):):):) finally at about 9ish this am. I put the batteries in and guess what, yep it didn't work. Nearly threw it up the wall but after waiting so long for it I just couldn't. Anyway, waited for my son to get up and he got it working somehow. Then I decided to watch Eastenders from last night on Catch up but it wouldn't accept my PIN, so back on the phone another 3 times before that was sorted. It's working perfect now and I want to thank you all for being with me through this (it really helped). :cool: :cool:

Just had a look at the reomte and have noticed its got Telewest on the bottom. I would have thought it should have Virgin Media on it. Have they fobbed me off with an old model.......
