If you want to test your download, best thing is to actually download and not try to benchmark by speed test sites. Try grabbing some large files off of microsoft, or ati's site, or if you have the ability, get some newsgroup action in there.

just try'd microsoft and it wasnt looking very fast at all (268 kbps)

have you a link to the ati download if poss?

Pick a random driver from here, should be about 30MB or so for test purposes - can delete once you've done if you don't actually require it ;)
