hi

i need to move my cable modem into a diffrent room so i will need to go to B+Q to buy an extended cable! The white cable looks to me as if its just a normal Coaxial cable with diffrent ends on it?

Can anyone confirm this or do NTL use a diffrent special cable?

If anyone could answer this ASAP then that will be great as i need to get to B+Q before 1.15pm today

Cheers

Not sure of the actual spec but it's not standard co-ax

It is mentioned somewhere on here what the spec is

I think it's RG11 cable that they use internally. "Satellite" cable will work but YMMV.

Hi, the worst thing you could do is buy B+Q cable and put it on your VM system.
If you need to buy some cable get Webro WF100 or Triax TX100.
You could always buy a Homeplug AV (ethernet over mains) kit and then have use of modem anywhere in house.:)

Sat quality coax will work. It needs the multi screen / foil wrap
