Well.....how do I go about doing that?

basically the main "output box" (dunno what its called) is in the same room as I am moving the PC into. However the current cable wire was in another room (so the walls had to be drilled at places and the wire passed through it). I cant just tug the wire cause the end has that golden plug thingi majig which makes it too fat to get through the drilled holes.

Will I have to get a virgin media eng to come and plug in a new wire??

Big question: Does it cost me to get the virgin media engineer to do it?

I'd just chop the end off the cable, pull it through and fit a new twist on F connector to the end. You can get them at Maplin for a few pounds.

no worries, i found a wire lying around which was just the right length and already had the F connector on it. So all's running just fine :)
