My general surfing tends to be ok (apart from the odd time when a page will take forever to appear, as though there is a pause on the line) but gaming (xbox 360) is pretty poor with lag/poor speech etc.
I had a look around the forums and it seems it could be to do with my modem signal levels ? would they have this kind of effect ? here are mine currently :
Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Channel Id : 1
Downstream Frequency : 586750000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM64
Downstream Symbol Rate : 6952 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps12Increment17
Downstream Receive Power Level : -13.0 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 31.0 dB
Upstream Lock : Locked
Upstream Channel ID : 4
Upstream Frequency : 46200000 Hz
Upstream Modulation : QPSK
Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec
Upstream transmit Power Level : 42.0 dBmV
Upstream Mini-Slot Size : 2
Upstream seems pretty stable, but downstream is fluctuating around 12.8 up to 13.4 so far... - the sticky at the top suggests this might be a problem, is it worth calling support ?

Ok, so I might have done something clever or stupid... I removed the 3db Attenuator on my modem cable and now my figures are :
Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Channel Id : 1
Downstream Frequency : 586750000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM64
Downstream Symbol Rate : 6952 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps12Increment17
Downstream Receive Power Level : -10.2 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 32.1 dB
Upstream Lock : Locked
Upstream Channel ID : 4
Upstream Frequency : 46200000 Hz
Upstream Modulation : QPSK
Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec
Upstream transmit Power Level : 42.0 dBmV
Upstream Mini-Slot Size : 2
According to the sticky that should be better ? or did should I put it back ? LOL maybe I should leave well alone !

Downstream power seems to be going up by the minute... 10.5 just now...
