Sorry if this has been talked about before but as I can't search for the word FTP in the forum I'll have to ask:

I can't login to the upload site via FTP to upload some new pages, it appears not to like my password. I assumed it was the same password as the email one, which I do know and haev also had confirmed from VM as well.

Any thoughts.

I believe for some of these things, the password will always be the original one applied to your account, even if you have subsequently changed it ... if you no longer have a note of it, another call to VM may be in order.

Thanks, I don't have the original password, do I need to call the high charging broadband number?

I fear this might be the case however, as they won't read you out a password over the phone anyway, you might get somewhere by email.

I'd recommend filling in the enquiry form from the website rather than writing them a plain email though, for some reason I've always found that to get a quicker response.

As long as you are the account holder and can clear security they will give the password over the phone.

Just spoke to a very nice lady on 150 and I'm now sorted.

Thanks

Cool - was it the original password thing, or something else?

It was the original one from the installation around 8-10 years ago.

Aha, thank you ... I was worried my memory may have been playing tricks on me. :)
