For some reason I can not now get e-mail. I am set to remember pw but the authorisation box keeps poppong up and will not reconise the pw just keeps displaying error messages that amount to 'can not connect' anyone help please?:dunce:

The problem you describe can often be attributed to the main Mail server Being down. The way to check, is to try and read your E Mails via your Web Mail service. I.e.

https://webmail.blueyonder.co.uk/

That's assuming that your with VM for the above? If you can read your E Mails, then double check your Account settings within your E Mail client.

Yes, bw41101 helped you.

If you can log in to the web service and access your email then the problem is your Outlook settings. If you cannot then it is likely that the mail server is down.

His suggestion presupposed that you were using Virgin Media for your ISP, if you are not then you will need to access whatever web based service your actual ISP provides.

Certainly, ditch Outlook and switch to Thunderbird :D
