On 4mb wanting more speed. virginmedia.co.uk broadband page states
£29 for new customers £37 for existing.

Go through the existing customer link and pick xl and it states £35

any advances ..ideally going lower?

come on VM keep you site consistant, it's like going into virgin stores and the same computer game is on 3 shelfs all with different prices.

If you're happy to go back into a 12 month contract, ring them and I'm sure they'll offer you the £29 package.

Although that said you might get a better deal from retentions (tell them you're leaving).

Surely as a VM employee you should be telling him to pay full price and not giving him ideas like ringing retentions? ;)

What would your managers say? :p:

ok should be £37 thanks. I'll try the £1.50 offer tomorrow once the non answered phone lines are back open ..lol.

"hello retentions i want 20mb full speed for £1.50 please, as advertised on nthellworld.co.uk"

"sorry sir we are now virgins so cannot offer this nthellworld offer to you despite of the offer being offered elsewhere and in relation to no other offer."

"ok so what can you offer to out do the offer that you wont offer"

"free VM pen worth £39.99"

"bargain where do i sign"

"you dont , you agree verbally but then we change the price more or less straight away and due to the the small print because and you didnt sign anything and means today you pay £37 and tomorrow we could charge £100 but due to 12 month contract there is nothing you can do , thank you bye"
