hi im virgin 20mb bb now i can download files at around 19mb no problem but when it comes to surfing the web, visiting different sites etc the speed is absolutly s**t,is there anything that can be done about this? ive phoned cs and reported it several times but nothing as happened about it.im in cm18.i think much more of this pathetic service and soon will be an ex virgin/ntl customer.(btw everything was ok up till the 20mb upgrade plus i used to use a proxy server most of the times.)

Have you tried using a proxy again to see if that makes any difference ?

Welcome to the forums by the way.

what?

have u cleared ur internet explorer setting?

can often have an affect on browsing speeds

and contacting cs about slow browsing speeds will do nothing, they cant deal with speed fault
tech support can give troubleshooting, but it would be a charged call

have u tried pinging websites to see ping times?

sorry i meant tech support, the proxys only give me an access denied page,as for clearing internet explorer how do you go about that ,ive cleaned out the cookies etc.as for the ping times this is the strange part some times the web page will load instantly then other times take an absolute age to open,it seems to be very unstable.

if uv only cleared the cookies, may b worth while reseting internet explorer settings
