So yesterday, from about 2pm in the afternoon my cable modem stops functioning correctly. So I reboot my modem etc, which in turn is connected to the router. I call up technical support, to find that there are issues in the area and that they should be fixed for about 7pm in evening, call is credited back into my account (area outage, not my fault).
7pm strolls along, I plug all the wires back in etc to find that the 'ready' light is continuously flashing, like what It was doing before. Call up the tech support again, only to find that the area outage has been rectified and that all is normal and working! Any particular reason as to why my cable modem isn't working correctly? (by this time, I had ended the call, after being told an engineer was required to investigate, well I didn't book one).
However I decide to leave my modem off again, 2 hours it's off for. Plug it back in and hey presto! :D It's working, sorry forgot to mention DIAL-UP speeds are being experienced! :Yikes:
I've got a belkin router, and according to the information provided the WAN MAC address is : 68:68:68:68:68:68 (thats not a MAC address)
It's working okay now, however noticed some speed issues.
Any ideas?
