theres nothing in add and remove programs and on msconfig it will not allow me to untick the one that says "rebooter application" this is the only abnormal start up program i havent seen before. im not use to using windows vista this is my first time.

every time i untick press apply it re ticks the box automaticly

From my computer, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and delete the vtagent icon

That seems to be the common answer for Vista..

Try c:\users\...

Best bet is to use the Modem by Ethernet if you can.

hmm...if you have a Vista Image/Recovery disc I'd go with that option (or even a back up before you installed from the VM Disc).

Hi, I also had a nuisance Virtual Truck CD message on my Vista laptop, i got rid of it by doing a search for "Startup", opening it & deleting "VTagent" which is the bit that produces the nuisance message. It's so good to be rid of the B.... !

I dug up this info, for future reference:

According to MSDN, the start menu folder is now:

For individual users:
c:\users\<username>\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\start menu\

For all users:
c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\
