hello all,
i have just recived my new pc with vista pre installed.
ive then connected my Modem with an ethernet cable to my computer (was a ntl modem now virgin media)
Now every time i start up my computer i get this error messege:
Please insert your CDROM with the Virtual Truck Program, Looking for file:
E:\installs\TeraUSB\VTruck2.exe
E is my CD/DVD drive.
ive found many solutions for windows 98 and XP but non for vista.
Any help would be aprechiated
the cd wont work with vista, uninstall anything put on by the cd you dont need it if you are using ethernet

From my computer, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and delete the vtagent icon
That seems to be the common answer for Vista..

Try c:\users\...
Best bet is to use the Modem by Ethernet if you can.

hmm...if you have a Vista Image/Recovery disc I'd go with that option (or even a back up before you installed from the VM Disc).

Hi, I also had a nuisance Virtual Truck CD message on my Vista laptop, i got rid of it by doing a search for "Startup", opening it & deleting "VTagent" which is the bit that produces the nuisance message. It's so good to be rid of the B.... !

I dug up this info, for future reference:
According to MSDN, the start menu folder is now:
For individual users:
c:\users\<username>\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\start menu\
For all users:
c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\
