If it isn't then get them to send out a new modem for self install since you are paying for speeds that your modem may not be capable of handling. Have you rebooted your modem recently?

yes its fine, the set top has nothing to do with it (but they are better than pace stt anyway),your modem can cope easily with 20meg,although if youre in the N/W i wouldnt hold your breath for 'super-dooper fast' download speeds :(

Overall Average Speed = approx 14869 Kbps, 14.52 Mbps

It is fluctuating though each time i run the test, it was as low as 3mb, then 5mb and then 10mb back to 3mb etc.

I told the woman we have 3 set top boxes here and two of them are the old black ntl boxes from about 5 years or more, the one i have is the samsung but she said i am showing as on 20mb service, but she wont replace the modem or set top boxes unless theres a fault with them, and she said if i feel there is a fault to call tech support at 25p a minute, its not right that.

just seen your location wolf, you will have had the 20meg upgrade but you will be suffering where you live, check out the other threads about the speed issues in the N/W,you dont need the modem swapping, and as i said b4 your set tops are nothing to do with 20meg speeds.;)

i think its a bit unfair to people on the 2meg or 4meg not to get an upgrade? I went from 5 meg to 10 meg upgrade and from 10 meg to 20meg, surely they wont leave these other packages so small speeds with the price the same :O\

There are no upgrade's for 2 and 4 meg users planned.
