Hi,

I've read that they are upgrading the 10mb to 20mb service, but does anyone know whether they are planning on upgrading the 2mb or 4mb services in the future?

I've stuck with ntl/virgin for about five years now and have found the serivce to be pretty good but paying 25 pounds for 4mb seems to be too much nowdays.

Regards

I believe there was a genuine intention by NTL/TW to uplift the lower tiers. (I expected a 5/10/20 Mb/s structure, as an ADSL-killer strategy). However, the ongoing 20Mb/s disaster, the fact that VM also supplies ADSL and now the uncertainty over ownership, all mean that this won't be happening any day soon :(

VM told me last week that 4mb is moving to 10 within a few months...

whoo yeah that sounds right upgrade more people and let everyone on the diabolical 20mb loose more bandwith lol.

upgrades to 2/4mbit will effectivly give you back speeds you should have had in the first place (between sensible hours), recently vm have given with one hand and taken with the other

I was told they would be doubling the 2Mb and 4Mb to 4Mb and 8Mb by retensions/cancellations. :)

But VM employees on this forum have refuted this claim by retensions. :(

Maybe there ought to be a sticky called:

"No, 2mb/4mb tiers are NOT BEING UPGRADED YOU MOANING MINNIES" :D

Well, £18 per month for "up to" 2Mb is taking the proverbial.
Overpriced? I should say so.

Well I was told by customer services that 4 meg will be changed to 10 meg in the near future, so according to this thread I have been lied to ?
