20mb speedtest in stockport

i have just ran a speedtest from the forum and the results are :-

1st 512K took 621 ms = 824.5 KB/sec, approx 6794 Kbps, 6.63 Mbps
2nd 512K took 551 ms = 929.2 KB/sec, approx 7657 Kbps, 7.48 Mbps
3rd 512K took 1142 ms = 448.3 KB/sec, approx 3694 Kbps, 3.61 Mbps
4th 512K took 1442 ms = 355.1 KB/sec, approx 2926 Kbps, 2.86 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 5268 Kbps, 5.15 Mbps

what as happen to the 20mb upgrade is anyone else have the same problems

EDIT Had thunder storms here today and the modem threw a wobbler

It's been rubbish like that since the upgrade. New modem, new Netgear WGT624 108Mpbs router...yet Virginemedia say it's all ok! :rolleyes:
