What's the average SNR dB ratio? mine's currently at 40.5dB

seem's a little to high??

Upload seems to fluctuate alot, never steady, could this be why?

Anything over around 30 is fine. Below ~26 and there's cause for concern. I'm at 40.7.

what things affect SNR? and what things can you do to improve it??? Mines 30.7 at the moment and a few posts on here recommend 30+ so I'm just above the min

the snr is related to the signal strenth so generally if your signal is ok the noise sould be a long way from it thats why the bigger the number the better we usally dont see any problems untill the snr goes below 25 and u may get slow speeds,drop outs etc. the causes can be anything really loose connectors corroded conectors etc.but i find a big one is water in the cable/splitter hope that helps
