Help (Modem Ready Light)

Not sure where to put this. Has anyone any idea why the Ready light on my modem isn't showing? The sync and ethernet lights are the only ones lit but i can't get on the internet and can't figure out why. (posting this from a friend's computer)

I realise that's pretty vague but I've tried everything to fix it but the Rdy light still won't show up.

Could be a local fault, have you tried power-cycling the mode, obvious maybe?

And sometimes a more informational thread title could get your post noticed a bit better!

check your upstream levels

does the ready light flash? if i lose connection mine flashes but the sync stays solid, one of the culprits is the upstream power level - if it goes up to high then you can lose connection, late 50's are a concern (mine loses it at 59-60) mine is currently sat at 55.
