Northampton Area 10meg showing as less than a meg dl speed

I have had problems over last few weeks, slow and unreliable.

Paying 35 squid a month for this is just not righ!!! anyone else in Northampton having same problem. I have rebooted modem etc no luck. :mad:

I am in the Northants area.
Speedtest.net using the London server shows my maximum download rate as 376 kb/s.
A test download from Easynews using 16 connections shows my download rate at 9.3 Mbps.
I will accept the Easynews result as correct. As I am still on 10meg I think that's about as good as it gets.

Now I am not saying that you are not experiencing some local issue but to be absolutely sure you really need to find a reliable way to test your speed. Dedicated speedtest site's results just cannot be relied on. ;)

i tried again on a few others and got 7mps which i guess isnt too bad but not great.
