Are any CF members using Wireless Telephone Extensions? I'm about to make a purchase of one for use with a fax machine and I was wondering if there are any particular makes I should look out for?

Or probably more important any that I should avoid!

Most will be ok, they work using DECT as assuming the proximity from Phone Socket to Device is fairly good you shouldnt expect to see a lot of loss.

Ive used both a Panny and now a Philips and both have been brilliant, even down to being able to use the phone at the far end of the garden.

Expect your fax to work slowly and unreliably.

I'm curious, do these phones use the same freguency range as wireless routers?

I suspect they use DECT which is at 1.9GHz:

WiFi uses the ISM band at 2.4GHz:

Not necessarily Altis, all depends on sound quality really, I've run Fax, Dialup, and a Sky box off of these things with no ill effects.

That's good then, no wirless router channel configuring.
