Followed a Virgin Media van today with a big advert on the back doors:

FORWARD,BACK,BACK ABIT MORE AND STOP....

What's that all about then or is it the Broadband advert??

Forward= we give you 10mb

Back= we traffic shape you down between 4 and 12

Back abit more=instead of shaping you to half like we say we will give you between 512 and 1 mb

And finally Stop= this is what's been happening to lots of people..................

Get your connection checked. Shaping halves the speeds (or quarters it on the 20 meg connection) and is only being introduced to an area when that area is upgraded to 20 meg.

If you are on a 10 meg connection, AFAIK, you aren't being shaped.

its advertising the livetv function on V+ and on-demand ;).if youd have seen the side it says 'faster,faster,faster' to advertise the broadband ( i know!!)

5 engineers, 2 modems, 400 hrs on the phone and my line is checked and perfectly ok according to Virgin.............

Thats why I thought this advert related to BroadBand...........;)

50% of the time it is ok so letting it settle down abit before trying again to get it sorted properly........
