Just called VM support re my slow connection.
He's 'removing and re-adding my modem to the database' apparently.
(Database is slow - *I* must call back in 30 minutes!)

He didn't seem too interested in my various speedtest results (which is fair enough)
but he asked me to go f1test.notlong.com and watch the transfer rate.

I though maybe this is some secret VM server somewhere...

The transfer rate was varying quite a bit which suggests the connection was not maxed out. Then I tried it on my ADSL line, and it also was up and down like a .. er . yo yo.

I checked the IP address, and according to http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation it's in Los Angeles !?!

EDIT:
I take that back, it seems to divert to http://homepage.ntlworld.com/allformshere/test.msi

Posting before thinking today!!!

Also left £40 cashback in an ASDA self service till...

When will today end!
