View Full Version : Vertical stand for VM 255 cable modem ?

Hi, I've read that the VM-branded 255 cable modem (which I believe is the standard model supplied to new customers in ex-NTL areas) doesn't come with a vertical stand.

I've also read that the VM 250 modem did come with a stand and the models are very similar.

Will the stand supplied with the 250 modem fit the 255 ?... if it does I'm sure I could hold of one from somewhere.

Minor detail I know but I've just signed up and really need the modem to stand vertically due to where it will be located (and for ventilation).

Put some strong blu-tak on the bottom if you need to...

I think the 255 is just a 250 without a USB port, so the 250 stand should fit...

To reduce packaging they dont supply the stand anymore for the 255 :)Plus not many people used them

Yes the 250 stand does fit the new 255, Exactly same shape/size just re-branded to vm & -usb

I just got the engineer to leave me the 250 stand ;)

mine is hard to see the lights going at it like a pair of rutting stags due having a wireless router and the pc being upstairs whilst modem is downstairs :D
