yeah and??? ive had a password set up for ages with them it saves time going through details when I call etc. You set it up with them its not your email password or anything its one just for your account

seems odd but without it how else could they authenticate you?

Ah ignore that, I mis-read it.

I though they just wanted me to put a plain text password in the body of the message,
not that they wanted it to authenticate. Not that it makes much difference at the backend.

I actually came back to delete my message, but people had replied already!

PS Didnt see any SSL on that page :)

Same here. Our Virgin account is in my husbands name and because of his 'limitations' (profoundly deaf technophobe)we have had a password for many years. It saves a lot of hassle all round.:D
