I'm trying to eye up potential places to live and from what i've seen of Woodford (mostly nearby the tube station) it seems quite nice.

I'm looking to move in the next few months and i was just wondering if anyone knew the area and could give me their impressions of it!

I've had a look at some sites like upmystreet.co.uk etc but they don't really seem to have many 'personal' reviews - just things like crime stats etc

Thanks!

Yeh, they have a great air show there once a year but I don't know of a tube station!

Yah i mean Woodford, East London :P

It seems nice from what i can see... although it seems to be close to Walthamstow.... which seems a bit of a hell hole!

Been looking at 2 bedroom properties for around ~£150K and the results mostly seem to be high-rise flats.... do these look dodgy to you? lol

You mean Woodford Essex don't you :p

I do know that block of flats. Its near two busy roads. Nearish Woodford station though. Not the best area of Woodford, but no real bad areas. 20 min walk to the pubs at the top of Broadmead Rd.

Dunno what its like in the flats though.

Essex is the place to be! - I still wish I lived there - I used to live in Hainault/Chigwell... The good old Central line, straight into london no problem - and none of these damn trains that run once every 30 minutes

Yeah, right - we were only Chigwell by sheer luck of postcode - 5 doors down it became Hainault - I wish we had been in Hainault 'proper' least then I wouldn't have had to listen to endless 'Birds of a feather' comments at university :)

Yah the Central Line link is handy and i don't drive so i 'have' to live within walking distance to the station :(

Chingford is nice... but god damn it seems expensive.... :'(
