Any Ideas Help

I am having serious problems with my internet connection. Every evening for the last two weeks and beyond about tea time it stops responding slows down and I can not browse any sites. I can still listen to and am still connected to streams that are open ie internet radio. This problem useally corresponds to the activity lights going like the clappers even when I close IE and any open streams. I do not use any P2P software and I am very well protected from spyware viruses and computer is all clean. As I say mostly happens around teatime but can happen anytime and is becoming more frequent. I am getting fed up having to turn my modem off and rebooting three or four times each time and everyday to get my internet connection back on. I took out the wireless router to see if this was the problem but problem still persists. It is like someone or the network is sending tons of traffic to my modem and it just trips over itself till rebooted. Very fustrated. Coventry. Below is my ntl modem event log if that is helpful to shed any light. Its the NTL 250 swapped out for the sufboard one which was no bother and wished I had never let them take it away. Would booking an engineer be advisable or could the problem be fixed remotely ? Thanks in anticipation. By the way most of my problems coincidently or not have seemed to have got woarst since the New take over. Billing errors, network and loss of service non responsive V plus box. Channels not on second box. The list goes on. Thinking about jacking the whole lot in. ;)

That log appears on everyones modem, they're not very critical at all.

Could you post us the power levels from your modem?
