I have been with ntl for about 2yrs, no problems really about 2 weeks ago i had my modem replaced did have the ntl 200 modem now got the 255 virgin media modem,
My problem is my browsing speed can really vary from super snail speed to snail running speed lol... Plus i can not keep on xbox live for to long when playing games all i get is ( lost connection with host lost or connection to another player has been lost !!!!

I have opened up the ports on my router (WRT54GS V1.1) 88udp/3074tcp/udp

i even try it just with only the modem connected to my xbox360 no better, people say i am lagging and all over the place :-(

Have you called VM? Your downstream power level looks a bit low to me. I would connect directly to the modem, run a speed test and then call them and point out the downstream level. It's how I managed to get an engineer out to my sisters connection.

Agreed, the downstream power level is out.

Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 20480000

Even though you asked VM to be upgraded to 10mb, you are still on 2mb.
Re-boot the modem?
call them again...

That's the 20Mbs config isn't it?

Yep, that is indeed 20Mb. Not 2, the 2Mb config has one less Zero.
