Newsgroups - Easynews/Giganews/Help/Advice :)

Hi,

A bit of help really..

I've got a Easynews news account where I I use the web based side of things.. after experiencing slow speeds recently I thought I'd try Giganews on recommendations from people on here...

To be honest I have no idea what I'm doing now :) I downloaded Giganews Newsreader but I'm not that clear on how I should use it? Is this the right client I should use? I can't really see how to set SSL in it. Can I search with Giganews like I did with Easynews?

Any help would be so grateful :)

ok open program and click utilities then click servers. If you have not added details then do so now set conenctions to 20 (if your using ssl)do not tick ssl yet. once all set up open again and return to page click use ssl you will need to restart newsbin. Open and nav back to same page and ensure ssl is ticked and the port number is ticked also.Close program again. Ok you should have been able to test the settings and the newsreader should be up and running.

http://www.merlins-portal.net/Vbulletin/index.php sign up to this site it will give you totally free nzb files. Once joined find something you want and download the little file. Open newsbin and drag the little file into the bottom window and all should start downloading :)
