Hi, i've had the problem now of high pings to all Counter-strike gaming servers during peak/busy times for a few months, I've called Virgin/NTL customer services numerous times, and had a new modem fitted aswell as doing a fresh system format none of this has solved the problem.

I'd appreciate any help/advice at all anyone could give me.

This is the tracert i took @ 14:01 on 10th May

As you can see the one i took earlier gave alot lower response times and is acceptable, where as the one took in peak time, is very unstable and quite high

Trace complete.

Thanks. Sean

As you can see, if you compare each individual hop, there's timeouts on hops 4 and 5 in the evening which is more than likely caused by increased loads.

It's not a problem at your end and there's nothing you can do about it unfortunately.

Well anyone have any ideas if they plan on solving this problem at their end anytime soon?

Hi, Sorry to hear about the issues you're having - most unfortunate.

Thank you for your call, your call is important to us.

I've carefully studied the information you supplied, divided it by a random fraction, translated it into Urdu Welsh, superimposed it on a 1979 photograph of Rodney Marsh (Black and white & upside down), played it backwards on an old phonogram and decided - based purely on variants which suit my agenda and which I am not prepared to disclose - that you're one of the 5% of "themmuns" what is causing "ussuns" problems with our broadbeans.

Can I interest you in subscribing to 20mb?

Ah, it's like this for people all over the place I guess after reading some more forum posts, VM need to sort it out fast before they lose alot of custom, but i don't see where they plan to sort it out anywhere on the site etc, I'm guessing it's just over ultilized upstream channels in the area/ubr
