I use Rapidshare for downloading schematic drawings that work colleagues
upload.
Recently I cant access any of the links that I have been sent.
Has anyone else had similar problems?

I beleive on the free accounts that the limit is used up really fast. If I remember there is only a certain amout of space provided to a certain country per day (might be megaupload actually) - Also is a tactic to try and force you to upgrade to a premuim account.

I have a premium anyway and usually get around 950k-1.08mb but lately I have been only getting around 450k. Also depends on the amount of people using the certain servers at certain points if you get what I mean.

Thats most likely down to other people on the same proxy server downloading stuff and hitting the limit. Try manually changing your proxy server.

VM puts u on proxy automatically. There is nothing u can do about it...

Just buy urself a premium account and ur problems will stop...

As far as I'm aware the proxy servers have been turned off for most, if not all VM customers.

I've had periods where i can't access rapidshare at all.

And i'm on bt broadband, i suspect it might be rapidshare themselves or a router somewhere on the internet.

Its ok at the moment but i had trouble getting on it at the weekend.

Did you post this from the same machine you use rapidshare on? If so, the forum software detected that this was posted through a proxy.

a bit of a strange off shoot but why don't you set up a newsgroup and you and your colleagues can post solely to that, that way no download limits and easy access to everyone who needs them plus if they are passworded the public can get into them

just a thought but virgin media does offer access to newsgroups albeit not great access but it works
