I've been broadband less from 2:30 till about 7pm today. 151 said it was a major problem, so much so CS calls were going to the TV team... not a wiff of it on here that I can see... maybe I was the only one with a flashing CM light today :-)

Nope. I was out. Runcorn, Cheshire. WA7 Postcode, the Warrington area. I was out from noticeably 3.45pm onwards to 7pmish too. Was on the phone to customer services for 30 mins, hung up the first 2 times as I had stupid indians that didn't understand me and I couldn't understand them, then finally got a scottish guy, after 20 mins they figured out it was a fault with the network and I was sent on my way.

To name but a few :(

Dont know what the reason was yet but i will bet that someone will blame it on the traffic shaping just to have a dig.

Some areas are back up but there will be 1000's of modems trying to lease an address for the next hour or so. Therefor it will take time for it to get back to normal

I can't bloody connect to my virgin connection! Had to resort to using Tiscali :( Very bad speeds from Tiscali - 300kbit/s on a "8mb/s" line.

Nottingham NG6. 10Mb. Connection been sporadic over the past few days. Had nothing at all this evening. Went off for a few seconds about 2 mins ago, but been on constant since about 8. Was off completely from about 4.
Normally I average at abt 9,5Mb, but was as low as 1.2 not long ago and over past few days.

ohh, by outage are we talking the IP network as i just assumed they were finally getting around to going something on the baguley/wythenshawe (south manchester)bit.

i also had the TV working throughout but i didnt change the channel (sciFi) incase it didnt came back while i waited for BB, but the IP lock on the samsung was flashing and i couldnt get OnDemand, so thought it was IP/UBR upgrade related perhaps.

the time people are saying dont seem to tally with my notes..., how can that be if it was an unscheduled outage/fault?.

baguley/wythenshawe IP went down for me around 4.05pm ,came back for the STB IP at around 6.50pm and the NTL250 around 7.45 still on 10Mbit, after a few minutes 10 at most , the webpages started coming in real fast as though any caching was cleared and zippy as hell for now ;)

I'm in stoke, had crap downloads for more than two weeks now. BB went down at around 4:10 and it's back up now although last time I checked at 00:30 doing a modem reboot it was still down so at least 8 hours outage here despite the status page saying everything was fixed and back up and running at 20:49 !!!

Still on 10mbps and still only getting around 1.2mbps so the original problem's still there and not been fixed

I phoned a couple of times, the first time I got a different automated response ranging from the line being dead, to starting half way through options to recorded messages from a welsh woman, a scottish woman and then a bloke giving recorded messages of the outage esitmating the repair to be done by 8:30, at 9:30 all was still down but the recorded msg was still saying the estimated time of repair would be 8:30, then they just took all recorded msgs off and the response time for answering a call started to shoot up again.

Their phone system must have been in meltdown, although if it's like their cable system it wouldn't take much to screw it up!

Mine stopped working just before 6pm (NG17 area). Went and watched TV, came back about an hour later it was back on.
