Do channels have any significance in performance?

well if you stay up late watching them, you may be a little sluggish, in the morning ;)

Lol. Ok, maybe I should've been a little more specific...channels as in...broadband...NTL...etc...

How do you mean? I assume if watching TV at the same time as using Broadband does this have an effect?

If so, then I've found no problems. Got my 250 Cable modem and Samsung 2110 both running off the same feed via a splitter right now and still getting top speeds and no freezing/pixellation

Again...more specific - Downstream & Upstream channels - E.g is there any difference between channel 1 & channel 2?

One would almost assume that to be true. Some carry more services in the lines. Teletext, Interactive etc. I think Im right, but I dont know the ins and outs of DTV. Someone more techy regarding this will be able to give a much better and technical reply than me :-D

The bandwidth required for the Interactive service is ringfenced and seperate from the broadband service.

The upstream channel can. some people change theirs to improve performance.

Cheers Paul. Out of interest - and it's something I've always wondered about - no throttling can possibly go on with a TV service no matter how much it's used...so how much bandwidth is used by cable TV?
