hiya guys, it seems that for about 6 wks now these websites
www.mirror.co.uk
www.thesun.co.uk
are really slow to load, and sometimes wont load at all.
this site www.mytns.com refuses to load even after the page has been loading for 10 mins. other people have not trouble acessing these sites. is it a virgin/ntl thing?
these sites never used to take this long. even ebay, that only seems to load have a page most days!! oh and i keep getting disconected from msn messenger or windows live which its called now:mad:

all other websites are fine and load really quick, apart from the speed test on the top of this home page, that refuses to load in.any ideas guys? i live in swansea:erm:

My money would be on the router blocking certain sites.

I've just given this advice in another thread, but it may help you too,
flush your DNS from command prompt ipconfig /flushdns

Hi, over the last week or so I had the same problem trying to access imdb.com.

First, I purged the DNS cache using the command prompt ipconfig /flushdns

Then I went into Internet Options via Control Panel and deleted all history, passwords, cookies and temporary internet files.

Finally, I unplugged the cable modem and ethernet cable, rebooted my PC, re-connected all cables, waited while the modem played silly beggar with a flashing on and off 'ready' light for 10 minutes...and, as of right now, everything looks like it's back to normal - sites that I couldn't access for a week, I now can. Hope this works for you.
